It’s probably been years since most of us sat through a science or physics class. Personally, it’s been about 25 years since I last studied those subjects. But one key takeaway from those lessons is the concept of atoms and energy. Everything—whether it’s the chair you’re sitting on or the device you’re reading this on—is made of atoms. These atoms are incredibly small, only visible under powerful microscopes, and inside each one is an abundance of energy constantly in motion. This is the true nature of everything physical, including our bodies.
Why does this matter? No, I’m not teaching science today, but understanding this helps us grasp the concept of Prana and energy healing. Our bodies maintain a natural state of energy balance—let's call it homeostasis. In a healthy body, energy flows smoothly, like traffic on a well-managed superhighway. This constant flow of energy, both inside and outside of our body, is crucial for maintaining good health. The energy that powers this flow is Prana—the life force that allows our bodies to heal and thrive.
But what happens when there's a "traffic accident" on that superhighway? Imagine someone is rushing to work, stressed out, and distracted by texting. Suddenly—BOOM—a 20-car pileup! The smooth flow is blocked, and it’s going to take a while to clear up the mess. The same thing happens to our bodies. When we experience trauma, stress, or negative emotions, it’s like a massive pileup in our energy system, blocking the flow of Prana. The bigger the trauma, the harder it is to clear.
And when energy stops flowing freely, sickness, pain, and even disease can take hold. This is where Pranic Healing steps in. It’s like calling in a team of emergency responders to clear the wreckage quickly, allowing energy to flow freely again and restoring your health. As my teacher, Master Choa Kok Sui, often said: "Just because we can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist." Before the discovery of electricity, people couldn’t imagine such a force was real. Prana is the same. It’s here, whether or not you believe in it. The world is on the verge of a major shift—one centered around energy.
So, will you be an early adopter?
Ugh… stress. Fun, right? We’ve been conditioned to accept stress as part of life, something we just have to live with and endure. But one of my biggest missions is to challenge the idea that stress is inevitable. Growing up, my father used to tell me, “There’s no such thing as stress.” I admire his perspective, but here’s where we differ: Stress does exist, but that recognition gives us the power to decide whether we let it be a permanent fixture in our lives.
So, what is stress? From a spiritual and pranic perspective, stress comes from worry, fear, overthinking, insecurity, resentment, and other similar emotions and thoughts. It’s essentially a state of dis-ease or misalignment. For years, I believed that stress was the price of success—that to be productive or achieve greatness, a certain amount of stress was necessary. But now, I reject that notion. There’s a world that exists without stress—if we’re open to it.
Stress energy can be debilitating. It tends to affect the solar plexus chakra, which can lead to physical issues like stomach problems, breathing difficulties, and even cancer. Every single illness is worsened by stress. Period. When we’re sick, we worry. When we worry, we create stress, and this weakens our body further. Stress energy acts like a blockage, much like the 20-car pileup metaphor I used in a previous article. The more stress we carry, the more we block the natural flow of Prana, the life force that keeps us healthy and balanced.
But this doesn’t mean you should bury your head in the sand, order another drink, and pretend stress doesn’t exist. Instead, stress is a signal. It’s telling us something. If we’re honest with ourselves, we can use stress as an opportunity to assess where we’re out of alignment. Are we addicted to stress because it’s what we’ve always known? Are we disconnected from something greater than ourselves, leaving us to feel alone? Or are we ignoring our true needs?
This isn’t easy work, but imagine living a life without stress. No, stress-free living doesn’t make you lazy or unproductive—it actually allows you to be more successful, more productive, and more aligned when the energy in your body flows freely, without the blockages that stress creates. As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches, when we remove these energetic blockages, we restore balance, health, and harmony within ourselves. Imagine the power of that!
Cancer. A tough subject. By now, we all know someone who has either passed away due to cancer or is undergoing treatment. I even had a friend whose oncologist told them, "Everyone will die of cancer; it's just a matter of which kind." While that perspective may come from a place of experience, I, like many, refuse to accept that cancer is inevitable.
Like stress, cancer is not something we must simply resign ourselves to. Master Choa Kok Sui teaches that Prana, or life energy, affects our physical, emotional, and mental states. Each emotion carries its own energetic qualities. Anger, in particular, is one of the most destructive energies we can hold onto. Long-held anger, or resentment, can manifest physically—potentially leading to illness or disease, including cancer.
Think of resentment as deeply-rooted anger, whether from feeling unaccepted by others or carrying trauma. Left unchecked, these emotional energies can stagnate and fester in the body, causing energetic blockages. Over time, these blockages become more dense and could manifest as cancer.
Even once diagnosed with cancer, anger often intensifies. We hear people rallying with the phrase, “F*** cancer.” While meant as a cry of defiance, this expression also carries anger. Instead of fueling negative energy, we can focus on sending love to our affected body parts. Repeatedly affirm, "I love my kidneys, my thyroid, my body." Love has powerful healing energy, and it can help reduce blockages caused by negativity.
My hope is that you pause and reflect. Anger, whether visible or suppressed, can harm our health. Consider the people you know who have battled cancer—do they harbor unresolved anger or resentment? Sometimes this energy even carries over from another lifetime, making it harder to pinpoint. But most often, there's a connection between unexpressed emotions and illness.
Optimal health is about creating a harmonious balance between your body, mind, and emotions. The next time you feel anger rising, ask yourself if it's worth it. Instead, choose forgiveness—an emotional energy that promotes healing and well-being.
