We interact with energy every single day, even when we don’t realize it. Because prana—or energy—hasn’t been a common part of our cultural language, most of us only notice its reflection in ourselves, rather than seeing it as an actual force we live among. Yet energy is real. It is something we constantly interface with, just like other entities we recognize: the weather, traffic, people, the news, or more recently, things like social media and podcasts.
We easily acknowledge these as external forces we have to deal with, yet each has an internal aspect as well—our emotions as “internal weather,” our personal stories as “internal news,” or the pace of our daily schedules as “internal traffic.” Prana works in a similar way. It is both external and internal. And when understood, it has the power to shape every other aspect of life.
That power is not always handled wisely. In fact, the ability to access and direct energy is considered so potent that in certain environments, like prisons, it is restricted or forbidden to teach. In the wrong hands, energy can be misused. For many, the first instinct when encountering this idea is to dismiss it as hokey, superstitious, or “Harry Potter-ish.” But history has shown that things invisible to the eye—like electricity—were once ridiculed too. Imagine telling someone centuries ago that fire could be sent through a wire to light a home! Prana, though unseen, is no less real.
One of the easiest ways to recognize prana is through the energy of spaces. Prana originates from divine sources—God, nature, the sun. Living beings receive, transform, and emit this energy back into the world. Just as a tree absorbs carbon dioxide and purifies it into oxygen, we absorb prana, process it, and release it. But what we emit isn’t always positive. Each space carries a “prana footprint” from the people, events, and even traumas that occurred there.
Think of the difference between walking into a church, a community service event, or a beach in Hawaii versus entering a crowded sporting arena, a graveyard, or a hospital emergency room. Each carries a distinct energetic imprint. This isn’t just your “attitude” about the place—the energy itself can directly influence your emotions and thoughts. That distinction is subtle, but crucial.
This matters because once we acknowledge prana, we can prepare for it, protect ourselves from it, and even transform it. As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches: “Pranic energy can be directed and transformed by intention and will. With awareness, we can transmute negative prana into healing, loving energy.” Imagine walking into a room heavy with sadness or despair—and having the power to infuse it with even a spark of laughter, joy, or calm. That’s energy mastery.
It starts with noticing. First, we must recognize that prana is there—that it’s real, tangible, and interactive. Then, we can learn to work with it. Mastering energy is no different than mastering communication, relationships, or even how we navigate traffic. When we do, we stop being victims of unseen forces and start becoming conscious creators.
This isn’t some distant idea. People around the world are already learning it. Forget AI or crypto—energy mastery is the real future.
The question is: will you embrace it, or let it pass you by?

Are you someone who loves to help others, but struggles when confronted with someone wanting to return the favor? Do you cringe when a friend insists on paying the bill at lunch? Do you hesitate to ask for help because you’re afraid it will make you look inadequate?
If so—even in a small way—you may be hurting yourself more than you realize.
When you struggle to receive, there’s always a thought behind it. The reason is different for everyone, but if you pause and ask yourself why you resist receiving, the answer usually reveals itself quickly. For some, it’s the belief that they’re not worthy. For others, it may feel compassionate—“I already have more than others, so I should always be the one giving.”
But here’s the key: thoughts are energy. When you continually reinforce a thought, you create an energetic thought-form—something real—that influences your future.
Giving and receiving are two sides of the same coin. You cannot have one without the other. As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches:
“It is in the giving that we receive.”
Life itself is cyclical. We inhale, then exhale. The sun rises, then sets. The tide comes in, then flows out. In the same way, giving and receiving form an energetic rhythm. If you resist receiving, you’re essentially cutting that rhythm short.
Think of it like breathing: try surviving on only exhaling—you can’t. When you constantly give but never allow yourself to receive, you run your energetic well dry. And if you rarely give, you block the flow of receiving as well. Both are required to keep the energy of abundance moving.
Master Choa also emphasized that prana must circulate. Stagnant prana—like stagnant water—loses its vitality. When you only give without receiving, or only receive without giving, you create stagnation. Abundance comes when energy flows freely, unobstructed, in both directions.
So, what’s one area of life where you’d like to experience more abundance? Let’s say it’s love. If you want more love, you must also give love. If you constantly take love without offering it back, eventually that stream runs dry. And if you give love endlessly but never allow yourself to receive it, the cycle breaks—leaving you exhausted and empty.
The principle applies to everything: forgiveness, money, kindness—even something as small as a parking spot. Try this experiment: next time you’re in a standoff for the perfect space, give it up willingly. Park farther back. Then, watch what happens the next few times you need a spot. More often than not, a perfect one opens up—almost as if by magic.
This is energy in action. It’s the law of giving and receiving, if—and only if—you allow yourself to receive what comes back.

When it comes to emotions, they’re not always easy or comfortable—but they are always well-intended. Yes, even anger, sadness, or resentment. These emotions arise in service of some unmet need. Each one is created by you to protect, guide, or move you toward something you value. The challenge is that emotions often trigger corresponding thoughts and actions that may no longer serve your highest good—perhaps they did once, but not anymore.
When you pause and look more deeply, you’ll often find that emotions like fear or anger are pointing toward the same ultimate goal: happiness. Sometimes that happiness shows up as safety, other times as peace or connection. This is why it’s important not to dismiss or reject any emotion, especially the uncomfortable ones. Rejecting them closes the door on an opportunity to understand what they’re trying to do for you, not against you. Every emotion carries a message.
Often, the weight of an emotion comes not from the present but from the past. Maybe it’s tied to an old criticism, a childhood wound, or a painful experience that happened decades ago. When we begin to see emotions and thoughts as energetic forms—rather than permanent truths about who we are—we create space. Space to either keep them, transform them, or let them go.
Here’s where the key lies: choice.
Carrying old emotional patterns is like trying to run the latest iOS on a Motorola Razr. It just doesn’t work. That “programming” was built for an outdated version of you. You can thank it for what it once did—maybe it protected you, maybe it helped you cope—but you don’t have to keep carrying it forever.
As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches, “Negative thoughts and emotions are energy forms. They congest the aura and weaken the flow of prana.” When emotions linger unchecked, they don’t just affect your mood—they deplete your life force. But when you become aware of them, recognize their purpose, and choose whether to release or transform them, you restore the natural flow of energy. This is emotional alchemy.
It’s time to update the operating system of your life.
Keep the code that strengthens you. Release the outdated programs. Write new ones that align with joy, resilience, and purpose. And remember—you are the designer.
