This week, in a class with one of my teachers, Master Glenn Mendoza, I heard an analogy that blew my mind: the aura is like the membrane of a cell. It was so simple yet profound that I had to share it with you.
Our bodies are made up of 37.2 trillion cells. Each cell has a membrane—think of it like the white part of a fried egg, where the yolk is the cell itself. This membrane decides what gets in and out, protecting the cell and managing what it accepts, like insulin or nutrients. When the membrane is healthy, the cell thrives. When it’s not, the cell suffers.
Now, shift your focus to your aura—your bioplasmic energy field. Your aura acts like the cell membrane for your entire energy system. It determines what comes into your energy field and affects your physical body. Just like cell membranes, your aura can be strong, weak, healthy, or depleted.
Why Your Aura Matters
Your aura directly impacts what you attract or repel in life—difficult people, overthinking, money problems, or even opportunities. The great news? Just as you can improve your physical health, you can strengthen your aura.
Here’s how:
The Rewards of a Strong Aura
When your aura is healthy and strong, life changes. That person who used to trigger you? They no longer bother you. Overthinking? Gone. Your strong, vibrant aura works like a shield, protecting you from negativity and creating a magnet for positivity and growth.
It all starts with your decision to improve your auric health. Once you do, the results are compounding and life-changing.

The mind is a fascinating tool—yes, tool. Most people see their mind as themselves, with no separation between their sense of self and their thoughts. When this happens, our thoughts control our world. If this feels familiar, don’t worry—it’s normal. But stick with me, because there is a difference: you are not your mind.
The mind is simply a tool of the soul. You are the soul, the spirit, the life force—the prana—that animates the body, feels emotions, and generates thoughts. This truth, taught by Master Choa Kok Sui and many spiritual teachers, is a profound realization. The mind is your servant, not your master.
Imagine a woman who tells her therapist she "has to cook dinner for her family every night." The therapist challenges her: "No, you don’t." At first, she insists she must. Then she realizes—she has the power to choose her thoughts. She decides to stop cooking meals she resents making. The result? Her family thrives on her newfound joy and peace, which outweighs the perceived obligation she thought she had.
The mind is like a multi-tool: a screwdriver, drill, saw, hammer—all in one. It’s powerful, but just as you wouldn’t leave a power saw running endlessly, you shouldn’t let your mind run wild with stress, anxiety, or overthinking. Constant mental activity drains your energy, much like leaving a power tool running depletes its battery. To perform at your best, you need to recharge.
Recharge your mind by infusing it with fresh prana—life energy—through meditation, nature, or even a good nap. Ignoring your mind’s need for rest can lead to burnout or even destructive habits like substance use, a desperate attempt to shut off a mind that’s running on empty.
Ask yourself: When was the last time the power tool of your mind was fully recharged?
Last night, I revisited Nonviolent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg, PhD—a book that’s truly life-changing. If it’s not already on your reading list, I encourage you to grab a copy and make it a priority. Whether you’re navigating conversations at work, with friends, or even with a 3-year-old, this book shifts the way you think about language and its power. As Margaret Atwood says, “War is what happens when language fails.” And war isn’t just between nations—it can show up in your office, your commute, or even your home. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) offers a solution.
Feelings vs. Interpretations
One of the most profound teachings of NVC is learning to separate feelings from interpretations. Most of us are skilled at describing our interpretations of others' actions but struggle to express how those actions truly make us feel. For example, saying “I feel disrespected” isn’t expressing a feeling—it’s an interpretation. Why? Because "disrespect" isn’t an innate emotion; it’s tied to someone else’s behavior, not your internal state.
If you dig deeper, you might realize that under the interpretation of "disrespect," you actually feel sad, angry, or frustrated because your need for respect wasn’t met. By distinguishing feelings from needs, NVC helps us move past judgment and into clarity. For instance:
Interpretation: “I feel disrespected.”
NVC Translation: “I feel sad because I have a need for respect.”
Prana and Emotional Energy
Emotions are a form of prana, or life energy. Like tasting an apple, we experience emotions—they flow through us. Rosenberg’s approach infuses this emotional energy with prana qualities of confidence, love, and honesty. When we express our emotions clearly and nonjudgmentally, we create an energetic ripple of understanding and healing.
Giving love, even during conflict, generates more love. In contrast, judgment and blame only perpetuate the energy of conflict. By addressing unmet needs with empathy and clear requests, we replace tension with collaboration, fostering emotional harmony.
Healing Through NVC
Nonviolent Communication isn’t just about resolving conflict—it’s about injecting healing, positive prana into the world through your thoughts, emotions, and actions. Rosenberg teaches us to transform the pain of unmet needs into opportunities for connection. Instead of clinging to judgment, we can choose love, clarity, and collaboration.
When you give prana infused with love, you receive love in return. So next time you face conflict, try this approach:
Identify the observation: What action triggered your feeling? Be specific.
Express your feelings: What are you experiencing emotionally?
Name your unmet needs: What deeper need wasn’t fulfilled?
Make a clear request: How can the other person collaborate with you to address this?
By aligning your emotions with your higher self and the energy of prana, you create space for mutual healing and understanding.
How can you bring more loving prana into your communication today?
