What exactly is a chakra? Many associate the term with hippies, incense, or new-age concepts. While this perception is common, it oversimplifies an evolving understanding of energy medicine.
The word "chakra" comes from Sanskrit, meaning "wheel." These energy centers resemble wheels and, when healthy, are in constant motion. Many energy practitioners now refer to them as "energy centers," a term that feels more accessible and neutral, avoiding the judgments often tied to the word chakra.
Think of energy centers as the energetic counterparts to the body’s glands. The endocrine system, composed of various glands, regulates unique bodily functions. For instance, the pancreas manages blood sugar, while the thyroid controls metabolism. Similarly, our energy centers have distinct roles that influence our overall well-being.
Importantly, these energy centers are invisible to the naked eye but can be perceived by those with clairvoyance. Throughout history, religious texts have alluded to these centers, often in metaphorical language.
You might recognize energy centers in religious art. For example, depictions of saints often feature a halo around their heads. This halo represents the crown energy center, which is linked to the brain and the pineal gland. Issues with this center can lead to various physical and psychological challenges.
As my teacher, Master Choa Kok Sui, teaches, "Before electricity was discovered, people couldn't conceive of its existence. Just because we can’t see energy doesn’t mean it isn’t there." We are on the brink of harnessing the power of prana and these energy centers. Embracing this knowledge can help us cultivate health, love, and peace in our lives and the world around us.
“I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.” — The Little Engine Who Could
This beloved nursery rhyme carries a profound lesson often overlooked by adults. It reminds us that the power of belief can propel us toward our goals. Children embody this innocence, untainted by the judgments and limitations imposed by society.
At its core, believing in our abilities creates energy that drives us forward. Conversely, doubt generates an energy of insecurity that can keep us stuck in place.
Here’s the truth: everyone has the potential to achieve their dreams. It may take time and effort, but the possibility is within reach. Too often, we adopt limiting beliefs from others—parents, teachers, or even bullies—which can stifle our growth.
When we tell ourselves we can't, we’re really expressing fear of failure. These fears create a comfort zone that prevents us from trying. By opening ourselves to new possibilities, we harness an energy that fuels our journey toward success.
Remember, our thoughts are powerful. The unspoken ones, deeply ingrained in our identity, hold the most sway. By embracing positive thinking, we align ourselves with the universe’s abundant possibilities. All it takes is the courage to take that first step.
As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches, when we connect with our prana—our life energy—we unlock our true potential. By focusing our thoughts and intentions, we can channel this energy to manifest our desires and create a fulfilling life. Dare to believe, and watch the magic unfold.
Emotional pain is real, and it affects us all. Few have reached the level of enlightened beings who can effortlessly transform difficult emotions into love and acceptance. Our egos often prefer validation and being right, but this doesn't mean we shouldn’t strive to work through our emotions.
Emotions are tangible, energetic entities. They are not just fleeting sensations in our minds; they deserve our attention. To avoid being overwhelmed by them, we must engage in honest reflection.
For instance, if something annoys you during your day, don’t let that annoyance ruin your entire experience—from your coffee ritual to family gatherings. Instead, examine the emotion from a detached perspective. Remember, we are not our emotions. By recognizing these feelings as little gremlins inside us, we can learn to manage them more effectively.
We often nurture these gremlins throughout our lives, allowing them to influence our behavior. Some may have been formed in response to genuine danger, serving a protective purpose. However, when we let them dominate our reactions, we risk becoming perpetually annoyed or affected by trivial matters.
By acknowledging these gremlins and understanding their origins, we empower ourselves to release them. Recognize that they may have once served you well, but it’s time to let them go. Thank them for their role and set them free.
These energies will continue to arise, but it’s essential to release them rather than let them take control. Replace them with feelings of love and compassion for yourself and others. This shift allows you to take the wheel of your life, free from the influence of outdated emotions.
As Master Choa Kok Sui teaches, when we align with our prana, or life energy, we can transcend emotional turmoil. Embrace the process of reflection and release, and you’ll find greater peace and empowerment in your journey.
