Do you, or someone you know, often bite nails, pull out eyebrow hairs, pick at skin, or even engage in more intense forms of self-harm? If so, this could indicate an energy blockage within the body, particularly one affecting the system’s instinct for self-preservation.
As humans, we’re born with an innate gift for self-preservation. We instinctively sense danger, know when to fight or flee, and avoid harmful situations. This ability largely depends on the health of our energy centers, specifically the root or basic chakra, which governs our survival instincts. Over time, these energy centers can become congested, weighed down by the everyday traumas we all experience. It’s important to recognize that trauma is relative and doesn’t only stem from extreme circumstances. A minor event for an adult—like a child feeling ignored by a busy parent—can have a big impact on a young mind, creating subtle trauma that may lodge in the energy body and influence behavior.
No one is entirely free from these kinds of energetic imprints. Even with a loving upbringing, life’s challenges and small emotional injuries accumulate in our energy centers. When trauma is lodged in the root chakra, our self-survival instincts can become impaired. So, if a child bites their nails excessively or someone finds themselves picking at their skin or hair, this may be a sign that the basic chakra is congested and needs clearing.
The good news? Pranic Healing and other energy modalities, like reiki or acupuncture, can offer relief. With a gentle, non-invasive approach, these practices help clear trauma energy from our chakras, restoring natural instincts and bringing the body back to balance.

Do you often find yourself questioning, "What is wrong with people?" or "What were they thinking?" Maybe you regularly analyze others' behavior patterns, actions, and choices—or perhaps you’re even vocal in criticizing them. There’s a fine line between observing and judging, as observation is simply noticing, while criticism often implies fault.
If you're in a position of authority, such as a manager, observing your team's actions and behaviors is essential for providing constructive feedback. But here's the key: feedback is a gift, while criticism can feel like a weapon. Some of us have developed a habit of defaulting to criticism, which can be common among highly intelligent or analytical people. While this behavior may be challenging to change, doing so can be incredibly rewarding.
If any of this resonates with you, consider shifting from a “what” mindset to a “how” mindset. A “what” mindset focuses on merely identifying what someone is doing; a “how” mindset invites curiosity and a deeper understanding of their perspective. For example, if you notice behavior that doesn’t sit well with you, instead of asking, “What’s wrong with them?” try asking, “How might they see this situation differently than I do?” or “How can I help this person in an area where they seem to be struggling?” This approach moves us from criticism to service, fostering connection rather than division.
Now imagine applying this approach in your daily life, especially during tense times like an election season. What if, instead of dismissing those we disagree with, we tried to understand how they arrived at their perspective? Or, if we see behavior that seems off, what if we sought to help, with sincere kindness, rather than judging?
From a pranic perspective, shifting from a “what” mindset to a “how” mindset activates energy centers within us associated with understanding, empathy, and strategic thinking, rather than those linked to worry and criticism. Like our body's glands, some energy centers are more developed than others, which is why criticism might come more naturally to some of us. But by building awareness and intentionally choosing how we respond—even just within our own minds—we can actually strengthen these energy centers, improving our overall energy health.
So, next time you find yourself scrutinizing someone’s behavior and feeling frustrated, pause and ask, "How can I respond in a way that benefits everyone involved, not just me?" This small shift can make a profound impact on both your relationships and your energy flow.
Many of us know someone affected by the trauma of war—perhaps a family member or friend who returned home while others did not. This survivor’s guilt, a profound sense of responsibility or shame for having survived when others did not, deeply affects countless veterans. For those who carry these burdens, the path to healing often feels inaccessible. When combined with PTSD, survivor's guilt can lead to isolation, depression, and even destructive coping methods. In fact, more than 40% of veterans experience some form of survivor’s guilt, a statistic closely mirroring the high suicide rate among veterans. For many, relief from the trauma seems out of reach.
Survivor's guilt and trauma don’t just affect the mind—they create deep, lasting imprints on our energy centers. In Pranic Healing, we understand that guilt and trauma accumulate in specific energy centers (chakras), often blocking our ability to fully heal. The Basic (or Root) Chakra, which governs survival and groundedness, can become severely congested in people dealing with intense trauma, leading them to feel unworthy of life and disconnecting them from a sense of peace. In these cases, even talk therapy, which can involve revisiting painful memories, sometimes falls short.
Energy healing offers a unique path. Unlike traditional therapy, Pranic Healing can gently clear guilt, stress, and traumatic imprints from the energy body without requiring verbal exploration. It allows for healing at an energetic level, reducing the weight of survivor's guilt in a gradual, compassionate way.
One point of interest: The Solar Plexus chakra, where trauma often collects, is also heavily affected by alcohol. In tiny amounts, alcohol has a cleansing effect, just as it sterilizes objects. But when used excessively, alcohol not only fails to cleanse but also further congests this chakra. Energy healing, on the other hand, allows for gentle, non-invasive clearing of these energies, without the need for alcohol or any other substance. Over time, trauma can be lifted, bringing relief and a new perspective that many thought was impossible.
If you or someone you know struggles with survivor's guilt and has yet to find relief, consider exploring Pranic Healing or similar energy modalities. These therapies may provide a transformative experience that makes true healing achievable, step by step.
