The 3 Body Solution/3 Mind-Body Shifts to Clear Negativity, Get Unstuck & Realign with Your Purpose

Protecting Your Energy

There’s quite a bit of negativity in the world—and let’s face it, plenty of negative people too. I like to think of negativity as being a relative thing. As is quite evident in today’s world, what’s considered negative to one person or group can be seen very differently by someone with opposing viewpoints. However, whatever negative means to you, you’re likely to encounter people in life who fit your definition of a “negative person.”

Through awareness and the intentional use of prana, we can protect ourselves from these types of energies and stay focused on bringing more positivity into the world. Every interaction we have—whether it’s with our spouse first thing in the morning, the grouchy barista at Starbucks, or the random stranger who offers a surprising smile during your commute—transmits prana.

If you think about it, you already know this. Consider how you feel after interacting with someone who is kind and uplifting, versus someone who’s stressed, complaining, or pessimistic. The difference is palpable.

The Two-Part Practice to Protect Your Energy

First: Awareness.
Notice when your energy shifts after being around someone draining. If you suddenly feel tired, irritable, or “off,” it may be because you’ve absorbed their energetic residue. With awareness, you can pause, reset, and choose to return to the state of calm or joy you were feeling before the interaction.

Second: Compassion over pride.
Rather than labeling someone as "toxic" or viewing yourself as above their energy, practice compassion. Recognize that they’re experiencing pain, stress, or fear—and it’s not your job to carry that with you. It’s your job to stay anchored in your own light.

🌿 Master Choa Kok Sui teaches that we are constantly exchanging prana with people and environments, often without realizing it. This is why it's essential to cleanse and shield your energy body regularly—just as you would shower your physical body.

One simple technique is pranic breathing: Take a few slow, deep breaths while visualizing gray or dark energy being exhaled, and fresh golden light being inhaled. This helps flush out negative energy and restore balance to your aura.

A Simple Practice for Energy Hygiene
After a difficult interaction—or even at the end of your day—try this:

  • Find a quiet moment. Sit or stand comfortably.
  • Close your eyes and take 5 deep breaths. Inhale through your nose, exhale through your mouth.
  • Visualize a gentle stream of light (gold, white, or violet) flowing through you, clearing away any energy that isn’t yours.
  • Say silently or aloud: “I release what doesn’t belong to me. I return to peace.”
  • This works best when practiced consistently. The more you cleanse and protect your energy, the less affected you’ll be by the emotions or attitudes of others.

Final Thought
Protecting your energy isn’t about avoiding people—it’s about becoming so deeply rooted in your own peace that nothing outside of you can shake it. That’s the real power of prana: it allows you to move through life with clarity, compassion, and strength.

And when all else fails, remember—what someone else carries doesn't have to become your burden. You've got tools. You’ve got awareness. And you’ve got the power to choose your state of being, every single day.

Mind Mastery Techniques

Not Another To-Do List

Not Another To-Do List

If you're not feeling upbeat and positive about your day—every day—this is something you may want to pay close attention to.

Yes, of course, life has its ups and downs, but when you’ve got this one thing on your side, even the most difficult days become easier to navigate. It’s something I have to constantly remind myself of, and it’s not a one-and-done kind of thing—it’s dynamic, and it must be done again and again, ideally at regular intervals.

The secret to shifting your mindset and escaping anxiety and overwhelm is this:
Create a plan for your life that truly inspires you.

The Problem with To-Do Lists
Creating a plan that inspires you is not the same as writing out a long to-do list filled with obligations, appointments, and the endless home repairs impatiently waiting for attention.

To-do lists have their place, but let’s be honest—they often do one thing really well: create stress. They rarely get shorter, and with every item added, feelings of inadequacy and overwhelm tend to grow.

This isn’t to say to-do lists are bad. The trick is to pause and elevate your perspective. Shift from a tactical mindset into a strategic one.

As Jim Rohn famously said:

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.”

If you’re feeling uninspired, burned out, or directionless, chances are it’s not because you're lazy or unmotivated—it’s likely because you haven’t created a clear plan that excites your spirit.

What an Inspired Plan Looks Like
Take a break from the stress-fueled checklist. Set aside some quiet, uninterrupted time. This could be a beachside solo retreat, a walk in nature, or even an hour at your local park. The point is to connect deeply with yourself—your energy, your purpose, your values.

Use that time to reflect on the key areas that shape your life. Here are some simple categories to start with:

  • Love & Family
  • Career or Purpose
  • Health & Movement
  • Hobbies & Learning
  • Spirituality
  • Home & Environment
  • Community
  • Money & Financial Health

Master Choa Kok Sui often taught that clarity precedes mastery. When your goals are clear, your energy—or prana—has direction. Without direction, prana becomes scattered, leading to stagnation and inner confusion.

Now, list three things you'd love to accomplish in each category over the next year. Start small. You don’t need to overhaul your entire life. Instead, choose inspiring, energizing goals that make you feel hopeful and engaged.

Turning the Mundane into Meaningful
When you have a plan that genuinely inspires you, even the most ordinary tasks begin to feel meaningful. You’re not just checking boxes—you’re fueling a dream.

Instead of viewing your evening routine—driving kids to practice, making dinner, helping with homework—as a chore, it can become a living example of your goal to be a nurturing, present, and connected parent. The energy you bring to those tasks shifts entirely.

As Master Choa would remind us:

“Energy follows thought. Where your attention goes, energy flows.”

Put your thoughts on what inspires you, and your prana will energize that vision.

Ask Yourself the Hard Question

When you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck, pause and ask:

“Am I doing this because I have to—or because it brings me closer to the life I want to live?”

If the answer is “because I have to,” take it as a loving nudge. You may need to reevaluate if you’re truly pursuing your dream—or if you’ve fallen into the trap of simply surviving one obligation after another.

Final Thought
The more aligned your daily actions are with your inspired vision, the more your energy shifts. You’ll feel more ease, flow, and even joy in the things that once felt heavy.

And if you’d like help building your vision, planning your categories, or just getting that extra push—reach out. There are tools I can offer, and it would be an honor to help.

Balancing Your Emotional Well-Being

Stuck in a Loop?
3 Hidden Habits That Block Real Change

Do you want more from life—more peace, more fulfillment, more clarity—but feel like real change keeps slipping through your fingers? Does it seem like you're always dealing with something difficult while others glide through life with ease? If so, you’re not alone—and there’s a reason this might be happening to you.

If you’ve already identified something you want to change, you’re further along than you might think. The transformation has already begun. But to truly shift your experience, you need to examine yourself deeply—with both honesty and compassion. And that’s where many of us get stuck: resistance to awareness.

Let’s be real. It’s hard to look at ourselves with a loving yet discerning eye. It’s uncomfortable to admit we may have been living in a way that no longer serves us. In fact, recognizing something you’re not proud of can bring up feelings similar to grief. But when we can see ourselves with detachment—and recognize that change doesn’t mean failure but growth—we begin to allow fresh energy and possibility to enter.

Most people resist this stage through three very common patterns:

  • Avoidance: You notice an anxious thought → You push it away → It comes back stronger.
  • Judgment: You feel anger → You criticize yourself → It lingers even longer.
  • Identification: You feel stuck → You tell yourself “I’m broken” → The pattern gets reinforced.

These habits have one thing in common: they keep you from moving forward. Change remains out of reach as long as you resist feeling what’s really there.

Here’s the good news: when you stop resisting difficult thoughts and emotions, they begin to soften. They pass. In my experience, when I allow the discomfort to just be, I often feel lighter within a day or two. Sometimes even sooner. And just like that, I’m back in flow—focused, calm, and aligned with the goals I set for myself.

So if you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or stuck lately, ask yourself this:
“Am I doing this because I have to—or because it brings me closer to the life I truly want?”

If your answer is the former, consider that it might be time to reconnect with what lights you up.
